Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.

A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Thank you!

In a dream, and under mythical circumstances, the main character of the novel, Jia baoyu, met the Fairy Disenchantment in the Land of Illusions. She showed him three "registers" each containing the names and "the happenings in life" of 12 girls in his clan. Each girl represents a kind of love.

From the stories which are unfolding in the novel, the reader should know the characteristics of the different kinds of love, and should be able to distinguish True Love from the other kinds.

True love is acceptance, committal, mutual and without any post conditions. The love between Lin daiyu and Jia baoyu is considered to be True Love. Just saying or hearing I love you is not good enough because talk is cheap. Action in mutual commitment is essential, as we can see in the novel.

We always have dreams. What’s ours dream? Do you know what you exactly want? And do you work hard for it. In this book, you can taste the feeling of the author about his strong will. In his words, you can find the charm of Chinese. It is not a book, but a precious deposits. You can get a lot from it. But unfortunately, the novel was never "completed" to such a state. On the other hand, maybe, it is another kind of beauty of the book. If you have not read this book yet, just go and read it. You will love it.

enjoy yourself while fulfilling responsibility in my 18 years of life,there have been many things. university days are the best part of them. i cannever forget the days when i stepped into my university. i was impressed by itsgarden-like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learningatmosphere. i at once fell in love with it.

after the arduous military training, i get absolutely absorbed in mystudies. the classes given by the teachers are excellent. they provide us withinformation not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well.they easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as i can.

frankly speaking, at first i had some difficulty following the teachers.however, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, i maderemarkable progress. now i've benefited a lot from lectures and many otheracademic reports.

learning is a long process; i'll keep exploring in the treasure house ofknowledge to enrich myself. this summer i got out of the ivory tower and enteredthe real world. a publishing house offered me a part-time job in compilation andrevision.

at the beginning i was belittled by my colleagues. but they were reallysurprised when i translated seven english articles over 5,000 words on only oneday. gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. in their opinioni turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.

i also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be trulyhappy. so i often take part in activities concerning public welfare. i once wentto a barren mountain village with my classmates. we taught the kids there whocould not afford school. while showing them how broad and how civilized theouter world is, i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, their honestyand their purity. i couldn't control my tears on the day when we left. theprecious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility onthe shoulders of us, future teachers.

What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”

Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting.Moreover, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.

" I could recite this even before entering primary school.

16years ago, my mother visited one of the grassland of Inner Mongolia. She said that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. With her description firmly printed on my mind I began to long for a tour to the grassland.

Sadly, this marvelous image that I had in my mind changed completely when my mum and I visited the grassland a year ago. As soon as we got there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. What was in front of me was just a piece of land with loosely grown grass. In the far distance I saw only a couple of horses feeding lazily. I asked my mother: "Where is the lush, tall grass?" As puzzled as me, she said nothing. I was shocked to see the differences between the grassland in my dream and what was in front of me.

On the way home, I thought a lot and tried to find answers.

Now I am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dream for the grasslands. Overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grassland and so taken away the charm of our homeland. But I am confident that one day the grasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as long as everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.

However, for our student, it is not realistic to study completely by electronic products. There are many things need to recorded on books. Books are something meaningful and practical.

I should say, in our country, printed books wouldn't be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons. Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance. A student without books could be someway ridiculous. Secondly, our country haven't developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. Heart attack and stroke

UK studies show that smokers in their 30s and 40s are five times more likely to have a heart attack than non-smokers.

Tobacco contributes to the hardening of the arteries, which can then become blocked and starve the heart of bloodflow, causing the attack.

Often, smokers who develop this will require complex and risky heart bypass surgery.

If you smoke for a lifetime, there is a 50% chance that your eventual death will be smoking-related - half of all these deaths will be in middle age.

Smoking also increases the risk of having a stroke.

They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking！ How do they do that！？ My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves； even in their old age they still make food for themselves！ I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common， but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this：” I do not want to live long， only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long， healthy and happy life just as they have.

Since my graduation from primary school， until now， every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood， they just fight so much！ I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do！ They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also； I want them to live a happy life as well.

I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great！ I want to go from the east to west， from the north all the way down to the south！ I have a dream， that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends！ If that is not possible， seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life， then God can take me away. I would be happy， and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

Those who abandon their study in sake of love are rather idlers than idealists!
